The Business Case

Grease Travels Further Than Most Operators Think

Gorilla Exterior Cleaning pressure washes restaurant exteriors across Los Angeles and Orange County: patios, entry walkways, drive-thru lanes, dumpster pads and the back-of-house concrete nobody photographs but every inspector walks. We are a licensed and insured family operation based in Long Beach.

Kitchen grease does not stay in the kitchen. It leaves through the exhaust, lands on the roof and the rear elevation, washes down with the marine layer and ends up in a slick film across the back walkway and the dumpster pad. That film catches dust, turns black, and then turns slippery the first time it rains. A back-of-house slab is a slip claim waiting for a busy Friday.

Out front the same problem shows up differently. Patio concrete collects spilled drinks, grease tracked from the kitchen on shoe soles, and gum. Sidewalk dining made that surface part of your dining room, and a guest looking at the ground while they wait for a table is looking at your standards.

What We Do and What We Do Not

We Are the Outside. The Hood Is Somebody Else.

Being direct about scope saves everybody a phone call. We clean the exterior: patios, walkways, entries, drive-thru lanes, dumpster enclosures and pads, rear service areas, building elevations and exterior glass. Grease-zone concrete gets a degreaser and hot water rather than a cold-water blast, because cold water on set grease just polishes it.

We do not clean kitchen hoods, ducts or exhaust fans. That is a fire-suppression trade with its own certification and its own inspection paperwork, and a contractor who offers it alongside patio washing is a contractor to ask hard questions of. We also do not do window repair or glass replacement.

Where the two meet is the roof and the rear wall below an exhaust fan. We can clean the grease that has already landed on the exterior surfaces. We cannot certify the duct it came out of, and we will say so rather than let a health inspection surprise you.

Scheduling

Cadence by Surface, Not by Building

Restaurants are one of the few property types where the back of house needs more attention than the front. The grease zones drive the schedule.

AreaTypical Rhythm
Dumpster pad & enclosureMonthly, degreased and sanitised
Rear service walkway & grease zoneMonthly
Patio & sidewalk dining concreteMonthly, more often in high season
Drive-thru lane & order pointMonthly, tire and fluid marks treated
Entry apron & front walkwayMonthly, gum treated as needed
Building elevations, soft washTwice a year
Health inspection or reopening prepOn demand, single visit

Most of this runs after close or before open. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so a 4am slot on a breakfast concept is an ordinary booking.

Multi-Unit Operators

One Invoice, One Standard, Every Location

Franchisees and multi-unit groups have a different problem from a single restaurant. It is not that any one patio is dirty, it is that the six locations drift apart until the newest store sets an expectation the oldest cannot meet, and the brand audit finds it.

We run multi-unit accounts on a single rotation with one point of contact and one consolidated invoice, so a district manager is not chasing six vendors and six schedules. Every location gets the same scope and the same crew standard, which is the entire point.

Gorilla Exterior Cleaning is licensed and insured with 109 five-star Google reviews. A certificate of insurance goes into your file before the first visit, and we can provide per-location documentation if your franchisor requires it.

One Crew, Whole Exterior

The Concrete Is Where It Starts

A washed patio with gum still set into it, or clean concrete under filmed-over frontage, reads as a partial job. Most restaurant clients run the exterior under one scope. Browse every commercial service we run, or start with the pairings restaurants ask for most.

Straight Answers

Restaurant Exterior Questions, Answered

No. Hood and duct cleaning is a fire-suppression trade with its own certification and inspection paperwork, and it is not what we do. We clean the exterior, including the roof surfaces and rear walls where exhaust grease has already landed, plus patios, walkways, drive-thru lanes and dumpster areas. We would rather tell you that plainly than take the job and hand you a certificate that does not satisfy an inspector.
Yes, and it is the norm. Most restaurant work runs after close or before open. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so an overnight or pre-dawn slot is an ordinary booking rather than a premium. Patio furniture gets moved and replaced as part of the job.
For a while, yes. Hot water plus a degreaser and a sanitising step removes the organic load that causes the smell, not just the visible staining. How long it holds depends entirely on your waste volume and how often the bin is serviced. Monthly is the interval most restaurants land on, and heavy-volume kitchens go tighter.
It can be, which is why it gets scoped. Grease-laden runoff from a restaurant exterior should not go to a storm drain, so we plan containment and capture for the grease zones rather than hosing them to the gutter. Where a site has a proper mop sink or sanitary connection, that changes the plan. We work it out on the walkthrough.
Yes. Multi-unit groups run on a single rotation with one point of contact and one consolidated invoice, with the same scope at every store. Call or text 949-403-5906 and we will walk the locations.
